You will need a 24” square of solid fabric that you sew borders to, which you can appliqué or quilt later. Learn to give your quilts a lift with decorative borders.
Gyleen Fitzgerald - Jack and the Beanstalk
Yes, it’s a Jacob’s Ladder block, but the fun is in the border. Can you make it perfectly pieced? Sure you can or will by the end of this workshop! The techniques are easy like 4-patches, half square triangles, sashing with corner stones and of course, the perfectly pieced square on point border.
WORKSHOP REGISTRATION Registration is open immediately to everyone Barbara Lenox - Salunga Star
Take two units (Flying Geese and Square in a Square), pay attention to color placement; and you’ll have a traditional looking star. Class content will include a thorough exploration of the units and efficient, accurate construction techniques using the “Fit to Be Square” ruler, which will be offered by the guild for $10. Students are encouraged to include plaid, stripes, and other directional fabrics in this project.
