Workshops

Bonnie Browning -  Borders and Finishing Touches.
May 15, 2010, 10am-4pm
Cost: $40

This workshop includes many tricks for adjusting patterns and how to use Bonnie’s no math paper-folding techniques for accurate borders  which fit every time. Make a mitered border and add Shark's Teeth for a more sophisticated decorative border or prairie points (several ways) for decorative edges. All levels.  Sewing machine required.

You will need a 24” square of solid fabric that you sew borders to,  which you can appliqué or quilt later.

Learn to give your quilts a lift with decorative borders.

Gyleen Fitzgerald - Jack and the Beanstalk
April 10, 2010, 10am—4pm

Jack and the Beanstalk

Yes, it’s a Jacob’s Ladder block, but the fun is in the border. Can you make it perfectly pieced? Sure you can or will by the end of this workshop! The techniques are easy like 4-patches, half square triangles, sashing with corner stones and of course, the perfectly pieced square on point border.
